once a wine growers workers accommodation in the centre of the village, the house is now one of a row of 3 that make an ideal place for a few or for an entire family to take a vacation.

in a village with all amenities, grocery store, bakery, tapas bar, michelin star restaurant, hairdresser etc etc

one of the very few houses in the village with outdoor space, this unique house has been restored to an original state, but furnished with a mix of items, mainly for the mid twentieth century, the simplistic medieval architecture is a great backdrop to design elements from the last century.

a unique mix makes it different from the usual shabby chic you usually see in France.

this house sleeps 6 on 4 floors, with open plan kitchen, open fires and 2 bathrooms, with terra-cotta tile floors, exposed original beams and wonderful spiral plaster and tile staircases. soon the adjacent houses to sleep 6 more people with their own kitchens and bathrooms will be available, so the entire family can travel together but have their own private space,

all linens and towels supplied, kitchens include gaggenau appliances and bathrooms have large enclosed showers.

the enclosed courtyard over over 50' x 12' allows for outside eating and relaxing, we have outdoor furniture for eating and lounging.

being in the centre of the village and with a tapas bar nearby, you can very easily enjoy the local wines and culinary delights, it can also be quite busy on a friday night with live music and speciality foods.

only about 25 mins form the mediterranean sea and very close to several natural rivers and lakes there are great places to visit to enjoy the local surroundings free of charge. also great vineyard walks visiting the local goat farm for wonderful cheeses are just around the corner. tennis courts are available in the village and there are often local 'fetes' to enjoy more wines and local produce.

behind the house is often the place for live music performances and on the outskirts of the village is a theatre for dance and other local performers to show off their abilities. the nearby town of lezignan has all you need, several supermarkets including aldi and on wednesday is the very large market for a wonderful selection of local produce. at weekends there are great 'vide greniers' where you can pick up an array of items.

the closest airport is carcassone, served by ryanair, but you can use toulouse or perpignan as well with a 90min car journey.

spain is very close, so you can easily drive there and return in a day where you can enjoy yet another cultural experience, figueres, the home of salvador dali only a short journey away, with sitges and barcelona just a little further on.
